We are working with the Borough Council on a new initiative - Redhill Artisans - to boost our Friday Team resources. See flyer above.

A most enjoyable Whist Drive with afternoon tea was held on Saturday 10th January. 24 members and guests took part. Highest scorers were Lyn Davison and Tony Avery. Joyce Woods and Michael Wretham took the booby prizes. Joyce also won a prize for an amazing run of 12 losing hands keeping her at one table. Well done to Joan and John Hoad for organising the event.

Players are still needed for our Spitfire League matches at Donyngs IBC. Please sign up at the clubhouse or contact Monty or Ralph. Future matches are on 11th Feb & 25th March - please put these in your diary!

See Short Mat menu for the ongoing programme.

Social Event Update

Watch this space for our next event.

If you have any ideas for a new event and are willing to help run it then contact anyone on the committee.

Eyeworks Redhill have offered to provide sponsorship to the Club in 2015. Many thanks to Julian and Sally. Further details will be announced in the New Year. Click on logo for link to Eyeworks website.

Why don't you join a friendly local Bowls Club?

If you are new to bowls and thinking of playing outdoors do come along during the season and see our facilities - ideally on a Monday afternoon (from 2.30 p.m.) or evening; or any other weekday by arrangement. After familiarisation with the sport newer bowlers can then join in further taster sessions, roll ups or informal games. Call the clubhouse on 01737 763404 just before your visit especially if you are arriving after 7.00 p.m. - if there is no response call Ralph on 07808 174060 or John on 07817 616161.

You will need some flat-soled shoes such as plimsoles/trainers. We will loan you some bowls so you can try out the sport before making any commitment.

We do not pressure people to join the club straight away Once you are certain the sport is for you then you can then join at a special introductory rate of £50 for the first year - reducing pro rata through the season.

The full 2015 annual membership fee is £95 p.a. - reducing pro rata through the season. Junior Membership (under 25) is £20 p.a.

There are no further green fees.

For more information contact Ralph Wycherley Tel: 07808 174060
or e-mail: Ralph.wycherley@virgin.net

The Summer season starts at the end of April and ends in late September. New members can enjoy a "roll up" any afternoon or evening on weekdays - dress code is mufti but not jeans. On most weekends the green is used for matches against other clubs or club events.

We have two weekly games for newer bowlers - a fun “Drive” each Friday evening suitable for novices and a Tuesday Triples League afternoon match for those who have gained some experience - ideal for those wanting to play in the future for the Club in matches against other clubs; or in Club competitions; or just having a competitive game against other Club members.

We welcome all ages from 12 upwards (for young bowlers we have a designated Child Protection Officer).

There are also a number of social functions through the year and Social Membership costs £15 p.a. - this entitles you to play up to 5 times a year in social events or roll ups.

We are a private club and our facilities do not specifically cater for the severely disabled. We have a large car park and are conveniently located for public transport.
